Frequently Asked Questions About Masham Golf Club


Can I come and play as a visitor?

Yes, even though we are a private members club we do allow visitors to come along on a pay and play basis. It’s always worth checking our fixtures page for availability or contact us.

What time is your office open?

Our office opening times are 9am to 1pm during the winter season (October –March) and 9am to 2pm during the summer season (April –September). See our contact page if you would like to get in touch.

How do I pay my green fees if the office is closed?

We have an honesty box system for payment of green fees in the front lobby of the clubhouse.  All instructions and information are displayed on the wall and it’s a simple procedure to follow.

Are mobile phones allowed?

To preserve the tranquillity for other golfers, no mobile phones are allowed on the course or in the clubhouse, however they may be used in the car park area.

Do you have golf buggies and trolleys for hire?

Yes we have trolleys to hire without the need to book in advance.  We also have two buggies for hire, and it would be advisable to phone in advance and reserve them if required.  To do so please call our Professional, Andy Marshall, on 07917 135330.

Do you have catering in the clubhouse?

We do, although not every day. We tend to have catering every Monday lunch time, Tuesday evening, Wednesday lunch time and Saturday lunch time. Cold snacks are available Thursday lunch time as well. We can however arrange for catering to be provided for parties of 12 or more outside of these times. Please call the office for further information.

Do you offer golf lessons?

Yes we do. Our Professional, Andy Marshall, can arrange lessons to suit all, regardless of age and ability.  Please call him on 07917 135330 to discuss and arrange.

Do you have practice facilities?

Yes, we have a putting green and a practice bunker just in front of our clubhouse. In addition we have a practice net just behind the trees at the far end of our main car park.

Dress Code:

All visitors are required to adhere to the clubs dress code which does not allow jeans or trainers and requires collared shirts for all gentlemen. All golfers must wear appropriate golf shoes and play from their own golf bag.
